    I can help support your body's symptoms and conditions through nutritional and lifestyle changes.   • What is a nutritional therapist?
    A nutritionial therapist uses nutrition science to identify potential imbalances in the body and understands how they may be the root cause, contributing to health concerns and symptoms. One size certainly does not fit all, therefore each individual is recommended a unique nutrition and lifestyle programme to promote health, peak performance and individual care.
  • What are your qualifications and accreditations?
    I have a distinction diploma in Nutritional Therapy from The Collage of Naturopathic Medicine. Being accredited with the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA) and a member of the General Naturopathic Council (GNC) ensures that I am highly qualified in providing a reliable service. I also continue to keep up-to-date with the latest knowledge and information by regularly attending events and seminars around the UK.
  • What is HealthPath Pro?
    HealthPath Pro is a free one-stop platform where nutritional therapists can create and store plans, prescribe supplements and order tests for clients. It is completely confidential and complies with GDPR guidelines to store client details. HealthPath Pro is used for all consultations and Nutrition Reports. There is no cost to sign-up to HealthPath Pro.
  • Do you do online consultations?
    Yes! Face-to-face consultations are offered online via Zoom. Nutrition Reports are completely online. Simply complete the Mini Medical Review form and Mini Food Diary and your report will be sent to you in 3-4 days. Find out more here.
  • Do I have to take supplements?
    My motto is always "food first". There may occasions where supplementation may be beneficial and recommended. This is not included in the price of your consultation as everyone is unique and each individual may require something completely different! Recommended supplements are always of the highest quality but are not a necessity.
  • Will you put me on a diet?
    Depending on your situation it may be advised that you adhere to a specific dietary approach. However, fad diets will never be encouraged. Everyone is unique and what works for someone may not work for you. This is where I can save you valuable time and money guessing! I will also be there to guide you if you need extra support if you are required to follow a specific dietary model.
  • I haven't received my Nutritional Report!
    Please check your junk mail for an email invitation to the platform HealthPath Pro. This invitation must be accepted in order to access the next steps. Once you have accepted the HealthPath Pro invitation you will be sent a Mini Medical Review and Mini Food Diary form. This can take up for a few days as Emma will have to do this manually and will be sent on weekdays only. If you have not received your Nutritional Plan after 5 days of purchase, please contact Emma via actnaturalnutrition@gmail.com
  • What will my consultation involve?
    Your first consultation is all about you! We will spend up to 60 minutes discussing your presenting symptoms and delving into your past and present medical history, family history and food diary (which is emailed to you in advance for you to complete and bring with you to your appointment). During the consultation I will be asking you about the different bodily systems as they are all connected to see if we get a bigger picture to find the root cause of what is going on. After discussing all of this, Emma will give you the first steps in your plan. It is best to allocate 60-90 minutes when booking in your consultation.   • What is the difference between and The 6 Week Nutrition Package and a Nutrition Report?
    The 6 Week Nutrition Package is designed to help give clients the kick start they need to transforming their health. Consisting on an Initial face-to-face Consultation in-person or online, continued guidance and support and a follow-up consultation, this package spans 6 weeks as that is generally the amount of time it takes to notice the start of changes. This package can be upgraded or following appointments can be added afterwards. Most people who come to see a nutritionist will have to work to get the results they want. Just like it can take time for the body to develop symptoms or an illness (even if it doesn't always feel that way!) it can take a while to help the body reset. Nutrition Reports are based online with no face-to-face contact with Emma. Simply complete the online forms (Mini Medical Review and Mini Food Diary) sent to you and Emma will create a written nutritional report identifying any nutritional imbalances, ways to improve your diet and meal inspiration.   • How long will I need to work with you until I see or feel a difference?
    Every body is unique and will depend on the severity of symptoms/conditions, lifestyle factors and compliancy to the plan. Emma will be there every step of the way, no matter how long or short your journey is to provide you with the support you need to feel your best.
  • I'm vegan/veggie, will your plans cater for me?
    Absolutely! There is no bias when it comes to food preferences and I will always try to cater to dietary requirements.
  • Do you offer testing?
    Testing is not included in the price of your consultation as everybody is unique and may not require the same test as someone else or testing at all! All tests are outsourced to specific and reliable companies and will only be recommended if deemed necessary. I also interpret any tests you may have sourced yourself or elsewhere.
  • Which package is right for me?
    Packages are created to get the best out of our time together. Most people who come to see a nutritionist will have to work to get the results they want. Just like it can take time for the body to develop symptoms or chronic illness (even if it doesn't always feel that way!) it can take a while to help the body reset. A Discovery Call with Emma will make sure you are assigned the most appropriate package for you with the best guidance along the way to support you.
  • Is my consultation confidential?
    Yes! Everything you discuss in your consultation is confidential. Your information is stored on a GDPR compliant and privacy protected database called HealthPath Pro for 7 years. If there is an instance of needing to contact your GP, you will be asked for permission. For more information, please visit our terms and conditions and privacy policy at the bottom of this page.
  • Do I need to prepare anything for my consultation?
    If you want a face-to-face consultation, you will be required to book a Discovery Call and complete an in-depth health questionnaire so that Emma can get a better understanding of you and the reasons why you want to work together. You will also be required to complete a 5-day food and lifestyle diary and sign our terms of engagement and consent form. This information is required before you attend your first appointment. If purchasing a Nutrition Report, you will need to accept the invitation to the HealthPath Pro platform and then complete the forms sent to you via email.
  • I need to rearrange my appointment!
    If you need to rearrange your consultation to call you can do so within 48 hours of your appointment time. After this the cancellation policy will apply. Please see our cancellation policy at the bottom of this page for more information.
  • Do you do refunds?
    The Essential Nutrition Package: A full refund is available if you cancel within 48 hours notice of your initial appointment. After that point only a partial refund will apply. Please see our refund policy in our terms and conditions at the bottom of this page. Mini Nutritional Reports: A full refund can be given if a report is not received. No refund is issued once a report is sent.
